Torbjørn Jagland, the former Norwegian Prime Minister and former President of the Council of Europe, found himself at the center of an international scandal. The politician tried to kill himself not long after the police started looking into his possible connections to the convicted financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Former Norwegian Prime Minister Thorbjørn Jagland was hospitalized after an apparent suicide attempt. This all went down a few days after Norwegian police started an anti-corruption investigation related to the materials published in the Jeffrey Epstein case. APA reported this with reference to Faytuks Network.
According to docs the US Department of Justice published, Jagland and his family allegedly visited the homes of financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sex crimes, between 2011 and 2018.
After this info came out, Norwegian law enforcement agencies launched an investigation on suspicion of “aggravated corruption” and searched his premises. The investigation found that a bunch of materials were taken from the place in Oslo.
