A new electric bike in the US is faster than mopeds. It has a range of 160 km and is super powerful

Startup Magician Bikes has launched the Alpha, a mountain e-bike with specs that let it compete with gas-powered mopeds. For just $2,200, this bike gives you unmatched speed and range for its class.

Magician Bikes, a Las Vegas-based startup, has unveiled the Alpha mountain e-bike. It’s got a solid 6.8 hp motor and a battery that’ll keep you going. The new Magician Alpha is available for $2,200 and is one of the fastest e-bikes in its price range, according to Autoevolution.

The Magician Alpha e-bike has a strong 72-volt Bafang motor, which has 4 hp (3 kW) as standard and 6.8 hp (5 kW) at peak. The torque is also impressive, at 140 N·m. It can hit a top speed of 80 km/h, which is faster than most mopeds.

The Magician Alpha comes with two batteries that together have a total capacity of 30 Ah. It’s got a range of about 160 km. The electric bike slows down thanks to 203 mm hydraulic disc brakes on both wheels. It’s got heavy batteries and a sturdy steel frame, so the electric bike weighs 61 kg.

But it can only hold 143 kg. The new Magician Alpha also has reinforced suspension with front and rear shock absorbers and high-profile tires. It’s got LED optics, a color display, and a luggage rack.
