A BMW USA document has leaked online, showing the company’s big plans for 2026–2027. The company plans to release about 40 new models over the next two years. The big debut will be the fifth generation of the BMW X5, which will have an electric-car-style design and a wide range of powertrains, from internal combustion engines to hydrogen versions. The eighth generation of the 3 Series is also expected to be unveiled, including a fully electric version of the i3 on the Neue Klasse platform with a powerful M version (700+ hp). They’re also planning to release the iX4 sports electric crossover, an updated version of the flagship 7 Series, and the all-wheel-drive BMW M2.
The document, which was apparently accidentally released by BMW’s US representative office, lists the main premieres for this year and next. This was reported by the Motor1 website.
BMW plans to release about forty new and updated models and modifications in 2026-2027. These changes will affect almost the whole brand lineup.

One of the most important premieres is going to be the new fifth-generation BMW X5. The crossover will change a bit on the outside and start to look like the BMW iX3 electric car. The model range is expected to expand — the BMW iX5 electric car and a modification with hydrogen fuel cells will join the gasoline, diesel, and hybrid versions.

The new eighth-generation BMW 3 Series will also be unveiled, with a new M350 xDrive variant replacing the current M340i.
On top of that, the “three” will have an electric version of the BMW i3, built on the Neue Klasse platform. There’s also going to be an M version with over 700 horsepower.

Another member of the Neue Klasse family is the BMW iX4 electric crossover, a sportier version of the iX3 model, which will replace the BMW X4. Also, the updated BMW 7 Series sedan and the all-wheel-drive version of the BMW M2 coupe will make their debut.
